About Author

As the Head of Stakeholder Engagement at Asia Pulp & Paper (APP), Ella is responsible for APP's international stakeholder engagement, including media and customer relations, global media campaigns and creative production. In this role she works closely with APP's partners on various CSR and conservation initiatives and serves as the liaison for communicating the implementation and success of these flagship projects to stakeholders. Three of the most exciting projects Ella is currently working on include a conservation project for the endangered Javan Rhino, a Sumatran Tiger habitat and relocation study, and partnering with Habitat for Humanity on the first ecotourism village in Soran, Indonesian.

Ella has written articles for industry publications such as Engineering Optimization and has presented at leading science, technology and engineering conferences including the 44th Annual Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials (SDM) Conference sponsored by AIAA, ASME, ASCE, AHS, and ASC. She holds a bachelor's of science degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a master's degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).
